The WIBC adopts the following procedures for a boxer to appeal a rating:
- Form and Timing of Appeal
All appeals must be in writing from the complainant or the designated representative and shall be sent to the Chairperson of the Ratings Committee within ten (10) days from the date the ratings are posted on the official WIBC web site at www.wibcboxing.com
B. Waiver of right to Appeal
Failure to appeal within ten (10) days shall constitute a waiver of the right to appeal.
C. Consideration of the Appeal
The President of the WIBC shall notify the members of the Executive Committee of the appeal and provide each member with all documentation received by the Ratings Chairperson regarding the appeal, as well as a copy of the written justification for the rating provided by the ratings Chairperson.
D. Requirements for changing a rating
Any appeal to change a rating under this rule must be approved by a majority vote of the Executive Committee.
E. Notification of results
The Complainant will be notified in writing of the results of the appeal within ten (10) days after submission of the appeal to the Ratings Chairperson.
